Justin invest in a phenolic insert plate, cut your plywood top the size you require for the insert plate to drop in.Then fix the insert plate flush with the top of your table,i recomend the Kreg insert plate as it comes with these clever little plate levellers.Also the kreg plate does not require a rebate in your plywood top for it to sit in,like most router plates.Simply cut the plywood top too the size of the Kreg plate.If you do not want to invest in a lifter you simply do all your router bit adjustments under the table.Hope that makes sense justin.Regards mick.
