This is my very first wood working project. I used the plan that came with the Kreg Jig Master System. I'm hooked and can't wait to build more stuff.

Are the plans for this available anywhere for download?

Pierre:  In the picture there isn't any finish on the pieces yet.  I plan to finish them with a natural look stain.  I agree with you on the stringers at the bottom of the bench, it does add more surface area on the ground which requires more cleaning and maintenance.

those are very nice, and I doubt that Kreg would have any objections since it's their site and their product. Just one thing, I might forgo the stingers at the bottom; easier to maintain and could have a look that might enhance the bench. All depends on the under pinning but that could be braced easily. Just saying. What sort of finish are you using?

My Master system arrived last week, but I didn't get any plans with it!

I just posted a question in the forum to make sure that the Kreg people don't have any issues.  As soon as I get a response I'll let you know.

That would be great!

I ordered the Master system from an infomercial and one of their hooks is to include some plans.  I don't have any issues with posting the plans as long as they're aren't any copyright issues with posting them here.  I'll scan them into .pdf right now.

Jake- You mentioned that you used the plan that came with your Kreg Jig Master System.  I did not get any plans in my kit.  any chance that you can post the plans?

Thank you Jay.  My wife has already requested 3 more benches and two more planter boxes so we can "finish" off the corner of the patio.

Jake, excellent execution of a well built planter and bench that is sure to become popular on your deck or in your garden area.  I would say the your "first wood working project" is a success and sure not to be the last one you do.  Well done.
