Justin, If you notice in the pic you will see a sheet of MDF painted black under the pallets pieces. This is what I used as the backing of the pallets. I painted it black so you cant see it through the cracks and holes of the pallets then i used construction adhesive to attach them. I thought about glue and nails but i didn't want anything new and shiny on top. With the trim around the sides the MDF gets hidden. The MDF also adds weight, which it needed. FYI, I used this same basic plan for my sons train table but without the pallets. Hope this helps, and thanks

I making a hex ring out of 2x4s ripped to 2 ¾ inches wide with 30 degree miters. What setting on the Jig should I used? 1 ½ is too much. Thanks.Continue
