Pacific Rim Log

Got this log from another neighbor that got the log from one of the Pacific Rim Islands. It's called Tournefortia/Messersmittia (sp). The wood looks like black walnut, but is much harder. I had to resharpen my milling chain after two cuts. This is going to be fun wood to work with. It was cut ten years ago so I only need to let the moisture content reduce and I will be able to use it. I cut two boards for myself that are 1" thick each. jerry-
