The whole thing probably took me 2 months, but I'm slow and a beginner, and changed the design a couple times. If someone knows what they're doing and can paint fast they could make it a weekend or two! The back of the cabinet is just what you see here, its completely open except for the cross brace. The wall behind it has panelling and my hook-ups come in through that corner. The cabinet itself is completely freestanding, its not attached to the wall in any way. To get it off and on, if you need to access the pipes, the whole cabinet just has to be lifted high enough for the back brace to clear and then you can pull it forward. When I had the hook-ups moved I had the plumber put water valves in the garage on the other side of that wall, so I can turn them off and not have to go through the cabinet.

My goodness is this nice, smart, impressive.  May I ask how long it took you and is the back left totally open for the hookups or is there some sort of paneling?
