When I use the Kreg screws they seem to go into the dada I cut in the rails and stiles and don't hold tight. Then I tried using a longer drywall screw and I have split 3 door frames. Did you cut a groove in your rails and stiles to hold the panels? I have come up with another solution while I was waiting for your answer but I sure don't think it looks as nice!

Thanks for answering. Will look forwrd to the next response as well.

Hi Paula, On this project because of the beading I had to use mitered joints for the drawer fronts and it didn't leave me enough room for pocket holes all I used was glue and 2" brad nails
I only nailed the corners after the glue had totally dried and I clamped the wood sandwich style to keep it from splitting while i shot the nails in.
On the other projects I made my doors with Tung & Groove rail and stile construction combined with the pocket holes this mad for a very strong door.

Jim, I am having an awful time with my doors trying to use my Kreg. I am using 1x3 stock for frames and cutting a dado the length of all 4 sides. Then I am using this Ann Arbor Birch paneling for the insert. The Kreg screws don't seem to hold the joints tight and I tried using a longer drywall screw and have cracked 3 frames. I don't have the experience for mortise and tenon so any thoughts you might have would be so much appreciated!

Free Hand Guard (dust collection)

Hi.  I'm wondering if anyone has used the Woodpecker Free Hand Guard for dust collection on their bench top router table during pattern routing.  How effective is it?  It's adaptable to any router table.  Continue

New Kreg 720Pro

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
