My first Kreg Jig project is officially done: I stained the table dark to “match” existing furniture.

My second table is underway. This time with a drawer.

Anthony - That is a really clever way to transform your bedroom, it looks so cozy.

I like all the discussion about signing your work. I think I will start a new discussion topic for it.

Here's a shot of the bedroom (pre-Kreg) work. We are building our own "Cabin get-away".

and nearly done:

David- I just saw a very good tutorial (by Jenny no less!) explaining how to post pictures and use ALL the buttons at the top of the comment window, you should spend 10 minutes going over it- you will learn a lot!

Jenny- I always regret when I don't sign my work. It was fun when I remodeled the bedroom and found the date under the (paisley) wallpaper. I have a metal stamping kit but it is slow and non-professional looking so I am thinking of purchasing a branding iron, anyone else have leads on where to buy one?

Thanks Jenny. I now have a good example to go by now. The size can be adjusted to fit just about any situation.

James, Jenny's sketch is good enough to get an idea; however, I would like to see yours. I'm always interested in all suggestions.

Hi Jenny. What a great looking table. Should definitely be an antique some day. My mother had two tables very similar to yours made in 1910 only with a 4" drawer in the front. My daughter now has them. Do you have a sketch or drawing of your dimensions? I would love to try to make a couple like yours. You may e-mail me with an answer at cwbell1@comcast.net if you wish.

I'm just trowind this out there.Another woodworker showed me a trick.Rather than sand between coats to remove air bubbles,he uses a razor blade, held at a 45 degree angle and lightly drags it over the finish.I tried it,and it works great for me. Wish I knew how to post pictures, like you guys do.My computer skills are very lacking, indeed. Dave

Glad I asked (and did not just start into it with a Sharpie!). I don't have a woodburning tool - or cows! :) But I will look into one, they are relatively inexpensive.

Don - if Dan or others have photos of their brands that can share, that would be great.
