Thanks again, I can't get any 2 things on a leg to match my friend, glad I love mission style! Haha!! Like I said, take 4 boards, run a groove between the 2nd and 3rd before gluing, after the glues dry, drill a 1/4 in. hole in the top for the thread of the lamp shade holder. I drilled a hole close to the bottom to snake the cord up through the back, but when i do it again I saw online jewelry box feet for like $4 for 4, brass plated I'm sure, but then you could run the cord all the way through and have a little decoration. All in all, you're talking scrap wood, $7 for a lamp kit and about $10 for a shade! Can't go wrong with that at all!
Yeah, we haven't got many decent lamps. I might have to look into building one. Yours looks really great. I always thought I would need a lathe to turn something, but obviously your lamp shows there are other ways that work well.
Thanks a ton! It's a 4x4 glued up piece of oak. I glued 4 pieces together, ran a groove down the center before I glued up for the plug and screwed a piece of walnut on the bottom. The lamp kit was $7 from Lowes and the shade we had already. A couple would look good with all that you've made!!
Man, you are doing some really nice work. This is a great looking piece!

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.
I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.
First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
