I picked up this load of wood the other day, mostly rough sawn cypress and oak. My neighbor's moving and made me an offer I couldn't refuse. He even gave me the racks off his wall so I'd have a place to put it. The 100 year old trunk is a bonus project to be refinished.

Thanks guys.  I was really happy.  James, I didn't drop any, only had to drive it about a quarter mile around the corner and I just crawled along.  Those five boards sticking out the back are 11 feet long, and there are quite a few over 8 feet.  It was so unexpected that it will take me a while to figure out what to do with it, but it's a nice problem to have.  Besides the hardwood, I got quite a few half sheets of oak ply (1/4", /2" and 3/4"), plus a variety of 1x and 2x lumber that my neighbor just didn't need anymore.

Hey Bob, nice load of lumber.  I would love to get my hands on some good cypress for a couple projects. I can dream about a couple nice cabinet projects from the cypress.  It would be  especially nice to have some that is rough sawn.  Hard and scare to get out here in the Pacific Northwest.  From what I can see from the load it appears to be top grade.

That trunk will be a very nice refinishing project that will be worth every bit of sweat and sore fingers that you put into it.    Thanks for posting now we can all lok forward to seeing a new project from you soon.

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
