Thanks...glazing isn't too hard...it is a random act so nothing is really wrong, maybe just too much sometimes. I find the acrylic based ones too fast to dry and have to add an expensive retarder. when you are moving the glaze around the acrylic can start to dry and I have had to remove it because of a problem. I prefer the Alkylyd one. Glazing will change the color of the base paint as well. I glaze over dye as well, as in my other project, the built-in cabinets next to the fireplace. Thanks and good luck.
Thanks for the reply. I'm going to have to learn to do the glazing because yours looks sweet!
Thanks Kurt....if you are referring to the bench the wood is oak... black dye, sanded, more black dye then van dyke brown and 4-5 coats of Waterlox Original. The rest is a mix of WindsorOne beadboard, Maple and MDF. Pigmented Lacquer base/primer (Target Coatings), B Moore paint (I forget the name but it is in the beige family) and B Moore glaze tinted black...with several coats of poly (Target Coatings). Waterlox is the absolute best stuff....I use Target Coatings for spraying but switching to General Finishes for spray top coats.
Very nice work, could you explain what type of wood and finish that is.

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.
I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.
First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
