I appreciate your work.Sofa tables have an important purpose in the modern home, providing function and style to not just your living room, but to any room in which they are placed.

Timothy,  You are more than welcome!  I love sharing plans and ideas with others, that is what makes the woodworking community the best.  I found plans for this online after being frustrated looking for a sofa table that I liked.  I absolutely love this and it is extremely useful.  Plus the benefit besides making it yourself is you get to paint/stain it yourself and match it to your own style or home decorating color schemes...the plans are here.  just follow that link and you are all set...Have fun :)

Jay, thanks so much.  I appreciate the comments very much.I enjoyed this project and it was relatively easy to construct. I also saved myself a lot of sanding time by taking my time to line everything up during the building of the piece. It has spawned a whole bunch of project ideas now and got me back into making furniture.  Next up (almost completed is a pub table and stools.

Okay so I showed this picture to my wife, just got bumped up to "next". I hope you don't mind if I duplicate your work. I was going to make a turned leg sofa table, painted hunter green to match my dinning table and staining the table top. After seeing this, it's a very usefull table with great storage.
So how did you join the shelves and dividers? Did you design this yourself or from plans?

Anthony, Nice work on your project.  You have created a very nice looking table.  It has all the correct features for furniture building as well as cabinet construction.  Here you have shown some good craftsmanship and have paid good attention to detail.  Your execution of work is a nice example in showing panel ends as well as shelf construction as well as well as vertical divisions of the shelf.  This is something to be proud of especially since it is your first big project.  Thank you for showing your work.
