I knew you were thinking about it. You will do fine. This is that time when you learn from all your mistakes and what you can do with little.

Thank you Ken- the finish is just danish oil with a light 400grit sand between the coats. I had planned to start work on the end tables to match but I'm going to try and start the morris chair thats on the popular woodworking website/ magazine this month. It's a Stickley replica and will be a challenge with the limited tools and experience I have :)

Thanks David- yeah it did take a couple of weekends although I made most of the joints using the Kreg jig and that saved me a lot of time. I spent the most time sanding each individual part by hand (not with a random orbital sander) down to a 320 grit and the endgrains of the top to a 400 grit. I woke up with sore lats the next morning!

What a geat looking table! You should be very pleased. I really like that light finish. Soooo, when do you start the matching end tables? LOL I bet you will be picking out your wood this weekend.

thanks DS. I finished it with a couple of coats of danish oil- sanding to 400 grit between the coats. That's it- it's an easy finish and I quite like it :)
