James is 100 percent right.  We all started with a  "first piece of furniture" and that piece inspires us to build more and each time it becomes better.  I enjoy looking at items others create and in some way or another I learn something from it.  James said it best so I won't carry on, just please contintue to build and post your projects.

Not picture worthy? On the contrary, one picture could change one's perspective on what they want to do next. I have seen hundreds of pictures of projects that make me drool, from a simple stool to a beautiful piece of furniture. It's what we "see" that drives us to be better than who we thought we was and  to accomplish what we thought impossible.

Please do not deny those that seek to improve themselves, post any and all projects (past, present and future) so that we all can benefit from one another. This is a message to all members, one picture can influence hundreds.

Now I will step down from the Lectern and tell you what a remarkable piece of work you have created and thanks for providing pictures so we all can admire and be inspired.

Thanks for the comments, Jay.  This is only the third piece of furniture that I have build.  I have made some storage cabinets in the garage and a pantry that I through together 6 years ago when we moved into our house, but they aren't really picture worthy, just useful.

Sir: Looking at your posted photos and I must add that your design and construction process is well accomplished.  It shows strength in the design and planning in the method of building the framework.  Your finishing is well done and the choice in in the wood grain direction is well planned. I like how you finished the corners and constructed the base.

You also picked an artistic manner to display the piece with the roses in the back ground and the ray of light on the side make an attractive photo.    Thanks for sharing your work.
