Thanks Harry, 

The final dimension were 17x30 only because thats the size of the table top. To make it low enough to still fit under my bigger work bench I used 1x3 pine. Some have said it would be better to make a draw instead of a hinged top. I kinda like that idea so you can leave tools on top while you work.

Jig settings for 2 ¾ x 1 ½ boards with 30 degree miters?
