Train coming around the corner where the school and daycare playground is. I will attach a link to see more photos and to see how the village was built with the Kreg jig. There is also a video. I hope you enjoy it!

Thanks so much Rita! I appreciate the nice comments. It is hard work! People that have not done this don't know how much is involved in putting it up! I am very happy with my platforms that I built. I looked on the internet and couldn't find anything to fit my needs so that is why I decided to build it! This was my first project and it gave me the confidence to build all of the other projects that I have done!
Great Job Lorrie!!! I use to do the village too, many years ago, so I know exactly how much time and planning goes into it. Fun to watch it come to life and you have out done yourself in the display. I bet it just glows at night. Enjoy your hard work with many friends and family and may each of you be blessed this holiday season and beyond!
Thanks Jim! I have been collecting these dept. 56 houses for over 25 years. I stopped about 10 years ago or so. I had so many of them and they are not easy to store! I enjoy putting together the village differently every year. I used to have an open house and invite my friends to come see the village. I would bake cookies and they could come and go as they needed around Christmas. I used to put the village on the floor around the Christmas Tree with the train but as I get older, it is harder and harder to put up each year! I thought the platforms would make it easier for me to create the village. Thanks so much for the nice comment. :)
Lorrie, beautiful , well done , thanks for sharing , JIM !!!

Hello - I have a couple of workbenches in my 'shop' and am contemplating putting 2 or 3 pull out bins on the bottom shelves of both. I've not worked with drawer slides before and am looking to make it simple(r). Thinking of making 2 sets of pocket…Continue

Several months ago, I purchased the Kreg K4MS so that I could build the Lego Table as outlined on the companion "buildsomething" web site which exclusively uses pocket hole construction. I have considerable experience with conventional…

1st impression when you hold this attachment in your hand: "not much to it", Kreg sure is makin' $$ here.
Then I installed it.. perfect fit, leaves just enough room to adjust the setting screw on my K4.
Then the real test, hook…
