Hi Tom,

I have not built anything like that before but I did record an episode of "Woodsmith Shop" and they have an episode called "Conquering Curves".  it is episode number 44 and they show you how to build a half-round table.  You can go on their website and get the plans for it.  I hope this helps you.  I plan to build something like that when I get better at the woodworking and get more familiar with all of the tools.  I think the "bending wood" sounds really interesting!  Good luck with your project. :)

I am wanting to build a half-round hall table for my step-daughter.  Any ideas?

KregRep,  Thanks so much.  The pocket hole jig is awesome and makes it easy to build things that you never thought you could!  Thanks for a great tool! :)

Hi Mick.  Thanks.  Yes, kids do love the village but it is the adults who are always begging me to put it up each year!  This is the first time that I have left it up from the previous year.  It was double the work to get it set so I got double the bang out of it! LOL  I get to relax and enjoy it!  It does make you smile! :)

Thank you mick, I'm glad that you enjoyed it.  I was going to make the front table centered and a half round circle.  As I laid out all of the houses, I realized that I needed all of that room and more so I build a small table on the left side and did not cut out the front table.  I'm glad that you enjoyed it! :)

Hi Christopher,

Thanks so much for the nice compliment.  I am so happy that she is enjoying it!  It is something that she can watch over and over.  You are very welcome!  I was hoping to bring some happiness to those who watch it! :)
