I built 2 tunnels and 2 overpasses into the village. Notice the train running in the back. There are several moving parts in the village. I will attach a link to see more photos and to see how the village was built with the Kreg Jig. There is also a video. I hope you enjoy it!

Thank you Jay!  As I said, this was my very first Kreg jig project.  I figured out how to drill the pocket holes and went from there.  I wanted to make something that I could take apart to store away for next year and I figured this would be a good way to do that.  This project took about 2 months to do.  I worked on it all of the time.  I was trying to create the mountains and tunnels and the train used to always give me grief.  Last year I bought a new train, but used the old track and it is working out great!  I have been doing this for about 25 years but always built the village on the ground.  As I'm getting older, I can't get down on the floor for hours and hours and get back up!! LOL  The idea of getting it off the ground came into my head and I just ran with it. I had seen the Kreg Jig commercial on the TV.  This is the outcome and I really enjoy it and think it is one of my best ones.  My friends and family can sit on the couch and watch it at a nice level for them as well.  Thanks for the nice comments and for recognizing all of the work that went into this project!!!  In the end, it was well worth it!  Now I will just have to bake some cookies for my guests as they enjoy the village!!! LOL  :)

Hi Lorrie, talk about something that is really unique and fits the upcoming season.  This is a great project and is done quite well.  It is refreshing to see someone who builds with out needing plans.  That really takes talent and dedication to a project.  I can see hours and hours  of work here and the way you built the tables to get them up off the floor to eye level is really more than a good idea it really helps to add to the theme.  This way it can be set up through the holiday season and not be stepped on and or disturbed.  I'm sure your home with be a hit with your company and and family this coming holiday season.

I is also surprising  to see a video in the end of the real thing in action and that is a extra plus and a treat.  This makes it special as you see the photos of the decoration and then to see it and how it moves and works is an inspiration for the Holiday season.  Thank you for showing a work of art in the decor.
