An indoor dog gate with southwest kokopelli design on front and gecko on back. It was given a distressed look and hung with double action hinges to allow easy walk through.

Hi Anthony and Jenny,
thank you for the comments and question if a dog could push through it. A large dog could go through it just as we do. Our three medium sized (40 lbs) have never tried. They get to the gate and just do not even try to go through. If cat runs under and dog bangs into the gate he might learn to open it. The resistance on the hinges can be tightened up to further discourage a bigger dog.

Ron, what a beautiful solution. Does the saloon door hinge give enough resistance that the gate does not need to be latched in order to stop the dog?

I have added this one to the Pet Projects album

Great looking project- want to build me one for our SW-themed den? I don't understand the "dog gate" reference though...how does it stop a dog? It would only slow our Golden down slightly as the cat runs under it.
