These are the kitchen cabinets I built to match the existing 1920’s cabinetry on the opposite wall. This was pre-Kreg jig. It was actually the project that made me research the Kreg jig because this was such hard work without it.
The face frames are poplar, the doors are poplar with ¼ MDF inserts and the actual cabinetry is pine on the uppers and birch ply on the lowers. The countertop is butcher block.
The last shot shows the built-in cutting boards pulled out. Really useful in this tiny kitchen. They are sugar pine with oak fronts and fir glide strips.
