I did use Rockler's Center Bed Rail Fasteners at each end of the center support. The center rail is made of a 3/4" board sandwiched between two 5/4" boards, the 5/4 boards are about 3" wide on end and the 3/4" center board is about 3/4" higher than the 5/4" boards. They are attached together with GRK Cabinet 8 by 1-3/4-Inch Screws. I did install the Rocker Bed Rail Center Leg, if I could have put one more 5/4" support in the middle, it would have not been necessary. But, I had previously ordered it and did not want to bother with returning it to Rockler. The frame and the center rail lift up and off of the platform support system.
