NIce, I am planning to rebuild an old patio table top us this pattern. I am going to use scrapped 5/4 x 6 for the frame and use old fencing slats to create the chevrons. I am trying to debate on how I will support the middle of the table at the mitered fence slats. Keep in mind I plan to route out a 1/2 inch lip on the frame for the fence slats to lie flush with frame. What suggestions would you or any of the followers suggest I take on completing this table top?

No, this is the only I have - just installing the screws after drilling them.

The photo shown appears to be "installing the screws" phase.
