The top is 24.5 inches from the wall and the cabinet below is 24 inches from the wall. This leaves .5 inches fro the drawer faces. I had planned on 3/4 inch drawer faces, but this did not work out because of the scribe against the wll. If I had to do it all over again, I'd start at the wall and build the desktop toward the center of the room.
