That's a great question. This was one of the more challenging design decisions in this project. I did some comparisons to the existing designs in the house. I also considered that the short drawers would be on the left, closest to my wife work area, for her convenience. Then, I determined what would work based on functionality, 4 office/desk drawers and 2 file/folder drawers. I could not quite fit 5 equally spaced office/desk drawers, so I did 3 and one big one. 2 file folder drawers fit almost like it was planned. I am posting a pic of the completed project now.

Hi Robert,

Love the desk. How did you choose to lay out the drawers? Did you just space out the slides equally and then cut the drawer fronts to size? Any help would be greatly appreciated as a project similar to this is on my list for Christmas break. My daughter is switching rooms and wants a new desk. A wrap around like this would really meet her needs.
