For those of us who are not "in the know," what is "GF Armor All when I need poly?"
Also what is "1/2 to 1# cut as a sealer?" for shellac? Is that different than Zinsser shellac?
I have used Bulls-eye shellac to seal knots and stains, but what value does it give wood finishing?
Thanks to all of you for the kind remarks. To answer some questions- the through tenons are not real. Just end grain glued to the surface, otherwise I wouldn't need the Kreg jig!!! (HA!) As far as the rounded joints, I just thought that would help the piece to look less formal and it’s only a 1/16 or less so it doesn’t affect strength. There weren’t any plans, the design just came together as I built it. I am working on the head and footboard right now. I'll post pictures once that’s done. There is a coat of shellac under the general 'armor all' wipe on poly 4 coats. It adds a real depth to cherry.
very nice !! would love the plans.
I agree with the others, beautiful...the hardware is a perfect match.
Beautiful Craftsman piece! Love the center stile and the hardware. I noticed all your joints are rounded over. Great look! Does that affect strength?
That's awesome. Are those real mortise and tenon joints? Obviously you're not new to woodworking, just the jig. Looks beautiful and I may have to steal the design and make one myself!
Very nice Kevin, you have done an excellent job. well done.

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.
I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.
First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
