Great work! Repurposing is a great way to get started - you can work around the foundation pieces to help with the measurements and come away with a sturdy and usable addition to your shop or home!

Thanks for the nice comments. I saved the face frame from the old cabinet and built the cabinet around the face frame. The old cabinet was not worth saving. I also built the drawers and attached the false fronts to them. I used the Kreg Jig for the entire project. I am a beginner woodworker and the Kreg Jig is the only way that I know how to build anything (join wood). It is awesome! Thank you so much for providing such a great tool! It gives you the confidence that you can build anything! :)
Nice bench Lorrie. I like the way you reused the old cabinets. Great idea. The bench looks sturdy, useful, and well-built.

I making a hex ring out of 2x4s ripped to 2 ¾ inches wide with 30 degree miters. What setting on the Jig should I used? 1 ½ is too much. Thanks.Continue
