Hi Mick,  Thanks.  It's funny. . . I had just built one drawer for the cabinet and when I rolled it out to measure the other side, it broke!  The face frame matched my upper cabinets and I couldn't let my first drawer that I ever built go to waste!  LOL

Well, back in Feb I left FL (my shop and all my tools also stayed behind) and moved back to GA to live with my Aunt (only a few years older than me). I only had access to her computer so I really wasn't here for about 5 months. Then I left after a disagreement and went back to FL to live with nephew (who had also moved to another mobile home and gave shed to someone and almost all my tools got sold or lost in the move)  again back in May. I have access to his computer pretty much everyday but I only visit here frequently cause right now I have very little interest in woodworking cause with hardly no tools (especially to cut wood with) and almost all my money will be used to pay bills for at least 2-3 months. Who knows, if things don't get better here I may be moving back to GA to live with niece.

Also I now have no way to get around as I had to sell my suv to pay bills. My nephew is about to have surgery as he has tumors in his head. He hopes to get back to work soon after recovery. His son will soon start working again, but lately they just been doing odd jobs to make money. The only transportation we have is his scooter and an occasional lift from friends to clean clothes. Grocery store(s) are a few minutes away and between all 3 of us we have nearly $400 in food cards to buy groceries.

Maybe in about 4-6 months I can start thinking about woodworking again, but in the meantime I spend my retirement watching tv and playing games (Playstation 2).

Hi James Waller!  I've missed seeing you on the community.  Welcome Back!  Thanks for the nice comments and for the encouragement.  I will definitely ask for help when I need it.  This community is great for helping people in need.  I learn something new every day just by reading the posts.  In fact, by reading one of your posts, I realized that you needed to incorporate a drink holder into a work bench!  LOL  I thought about incorporating one in my workbench just for you!  LOL  :)  HaHa

Addiction?   That explains a lot.  I started with the Kreg jr.  Liked it so well that I now have the K4.  A decent variety and supply of their screws.  I have close to a dozen of Kreg clamps and it is growing since they came out with the automaxx.  I have the rip cut and the multi marking tool.  I have the little gadgets to help mount the drawers and a featherboard for the table saw.   The bench top router table is on my wish list.  I either need a intervention or a larger shop!

I remember seeing a Kreg commercial (either online or on tv) that made me want to get one. A new Lowe's had opened up (2009 I think) and my niece's husband got a job there. Before the "Grand Opening" they had an employee family night and so we went to it. I went straight to the tools department and snatch me up a Kreg Jig 3 Master system. The first thing I did (after reading the instructions) with the jig was drill two pocket holes in a small piece of 2x4 and attached it to another 2x4. I pulled on the joint and was amazed at how strong the joint was. That is how I started in woodworking but I haven't really built much and what I did do was pretty simple.

I still have my jig but no shop, hardly any of the tools I did have, no money for wood and right now no interest in woodworking. I still enjoy coming here and seeing all the projects others are doing and to provide help if a topic is within my understanding of what the writer is asking help for. Perhaps in a few months I can start again and it will give me something to do with all my free time (retired).

You built a very nice bench and I look forward to seeing more from you. Don't hesitate to ask for help cause there are plenty of knowledgeable members on here who are more than willing to provide their expertise.
