I built a frame around the face frame to reinforce it. I really had no idea what I was doing but I didn't want it to fall apart like the old one did.

Thanks David.  We are trying and we are doing it with the help of this community site.  Thanks everyone!  Rita, it has been a pleasure meeting you on this site and I'm sure that we will be sharing many more projects!  :)

Oh Wow!   Thanks so much for the kind words.  It has been great to meet Lorrie online here within the community and it is such a plus for us to be able to encourage each other as we begin our trials in woodworking.  Since joining this site I have been met with nothing but kind words and respect for the craft and the help and tips have been priceless!   Someone recently asked me how I managed to build my table.  I told them that over the years I had to learn to do or learn to do without.  Much easier to learn to do even when it fails because you learn from the experience.  Now I am learning that I love what I do :)

Thank you SO MUCH to both Jay and Jim for the very nice comments.  I know that Rita and I are both proud of our projects and it is awesome that members of this site have seen our work and given us both high praises.  That goes a long way for the confidence building.  Special thanks go out to Jay and Jim for their support!!!  We enjoy seeing projects from the advanced woodworkers showing us what is possible for us in the future.  Keep the projects coming! :)

Rita and Lorrie, for beginners in woodworking both of you ladies put out some exceptional projects that  not only look good but are well built.  You both did this rapidly and in a very professional way.  I have seen the results of your hard work, so if I was teaching woodworking,  I would give you both high marks.  Not just because you finished a project but it is done so with a high degree of planning and attention to detail.  I would have to say that you both know how to use the Kreg Jig and can hold your own with the best of us.  I am so glad you are productive members of the community.

Hi Rita.  It was a challenge for me.  I don't know if I mastered it, but looking at the end result, I think I did okay.  I love my new workbench! :)  Thanks!

Ha!  Don't you just love when trial and error comes together!   Mixing old and new creates new challenges and you mastered it!
