image desk part of bunk beds, almost done (first kreg project)

Building loft style bed for my son, one side (this one) has a desk and drawers, the other side will have shelves instead of a desk and drawers. Google sketch up file uploaded as loft style bed (full on top)

I'm hoping to get a lot done this weekend, basically using all 2 x 4's and birch 3/4 ply. Going to end up being very heavy. I'm partially modeling the build after the camp bunk system by pottery barn (wife's wishes) but increasing the size for ease of acces for changing sheets, and allowing my fat self some room to get in next to my son when he lies down to read him a story. The total foot print of mine is going to be 102" x 62. Thus will be able to fit a full on top if desired. Going to put a padded box right when you go up the ladder to take up the extra length in the top bed frame.

Adam, I am going to build a loft style bed this spring as well. I am interested to see yours go together. I also would like to see your sketchup file as well.
