Thanks for the comment Tim. The finish is painted with Valspar Signature semi-gloss in twilight purple (Home Depot $35 gallon), that's all there is to the finish. I hand painted 2 coats with a roller for the most part, and brushed in the corners. I was going to do it in a stain, but my wife insisted on paint. The heart inlays are made from some pieces of high grade 1/8 in. plywood that my wife bought a long while back to use in her scroll saw work. The project was very fulfilling for me. It had it's ups and downs and the plans changed slightly during the design and build stage. I intended on using dowels to hold most of it together, but quickly changed my mind when i came across the kreg Jig. It is completely built using nothing but pocket holes, and I must say it is very sturdy. I am proud of the completed project, and my wife loves it. Thanks again for the comment, and for taking the time to look at it.
Outstanding job Paul....questions about your finish....did you spray.....what did you use to protect the paint (poly etc....) and what did you use for the heart inlays.....that cabinet looks great....you should be proud!

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.
I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.
First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…

Several months ago, I purchased the Kreg K4MS so that I could build the Lego Table as outlined on the companion "buildsomething" web site which exclusively uses pocket hole construction. I have considerable experience with conventional…
