For the narrower, (4" wide x 1/2" thick) pieces I used a steam box and a form to curve the piece.  For the wider panels I used 1/4" plywood with quarter sawn oak veneer.  In order to get the plywood to bend, I cut horizontal slices along the back side about 1/2 way through the plywood with a table saw, which enabled the plywood to bend in one direction, but still maintain its rigidity.

That is a beautiful piece!  One questions, how did you do the "rolled" doors?
