This is a foorboard I modified from a video project I saw on the Kreg webiste. I jotted down some notes from the video and drew up the plans in CAD as I have a drafting background. It has a matching headboard and I created this out of pine. The panel is 1/4" birch beadboard and everything is connect with Kregs pocket hole jig. The stain is a mix of maple gel stain, golden oak stain and mineal spirts. The finish is about 3 or 4 coats of amber shellec. Both pieces sort of have this "old school" Wisconsin northwoods look to them which turned out nice and my daughter likes it. I just attached the two pieces to the metal bedframe so I'll try to post a picture tomorrow with something other than a smartphone.

Very nice looking footboard.Headboards and footboards are a great way to add style to a bedroom. Even if you do not need to replace your bed, adding a headboard or a footboard can change the look of the bedroom without having to raid the bank.
JON , very nice design and finish , a job well done , thanks for sharing, JIM !!!
