James:

The top is polycarbonate.  I did not want to have anything that my grandson could break.  I had it pre-cut at the supplier to fit the desk.

If I was building this I would build the desk to fit the glass. I have never cut glass, but it would seem it's easier to cut the top to the size of the glass.

Which way did you go, cut the wood or cut the glass?

This has me so fascinated that when I get another computer I might build me one.

Jig settings for 2 ¾ x 1 ½ boards with 30 degree miters?
