My implementation of the workbench project. As you can see I used hardwood ply instead of MDF for both the top and bottom shelf. Also to get a better feel of how to use it I applied a single coat of General Finishes Seal-A-Cell Clear to the entire bench then a second coat to the top and shelf. I really like the look of this finish but I'm not to sure I like the feel of it I really want more of a wood feel.

As far as the finish goes the only reason I finished it was so I could learn how to apply the General Finishes Seal-A-Cell Clear on something I did not mind if it didn't come out perfect. The bench will not look pretty for very long :) But then again I guess I will see how well this finish will hold up to a beating :)

I have some jigs and other little shop things I'm building next that I will be finishing as well again just to learn how to apply the finish and to see which one I like the best when it is all over. That way when I move to the furniture type projects I will not be experimenting with the finish.
