Hi, Larry,

Sorry Larry, there are no plans. I build every one from scratch. I prefer to use box joints because they have a decorative look, and are extreamly strong. You can build a box joint jig that will work with a table saw or with a router table. plans to build one can be found on the Woodshop forum. There are many other easier joints to make, and there is a very good article in the Dec/Jan issue of Wood Magazine on building wood boxes. The best way to get started is just jump in and try some joints etc. There are many good books and articles out there on building boxes, but you will find that your way is just as good as the other fellows, or better.  I am just finishing building a pistol case to contain a basic Colt 1911, and the barrels, slides, and clips to fire six different calibers. This will probably be the last case that I build, as I have arthritides working on me pretty bad.

Mr Sites The boxes you built look great and may be what I need.

My Ex-wife passed away in Feb. we remained friends calling or talking every week and sometimes more often.

When her sister returned ex's Bible that I had bought her when we were married saying I would like it back when you are gone.

what I would like to do is build a nice wooden box to hold the Bible and present it back to ex's sister this coming Christmas. What I'm asking do you have and would you share the plans for your boxes?

I'm 69 and never did any woodworking but I want to try.

thanks

Lowell, these are just plumb nice, nice appeal to the eye and well finished.  Like the  joints and how they seem to add the feeling of "security in the box".  Displayed together like this really shows off the wood, finish and your  craftsmanship.  Well done, Lowell.

New Kreg 720Pro

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
