I used two in 1.5 inch, and if you only use one I would think that it would work ok. I would buy a piece and do a couple of tests to ensure you get the result you want. One screw may allow the board to twist, so that is why I would test it out. Good luck, I am sure your project will be great.
Yea...I am in the beginning stages of building a dresser for the bedroom, looking at design. I will be doing a face frame with cross beams, but wanted to make them 1 in. width. Just hoping that is thick enough for a pocket screw
Matt do you mean the thin cross beams that divide the drawer opening? They are 1.5 inches.

I making a hex ring out of 2x4s ripped to 2 ¾ inches wide with 30 degree miters. What setting on the Jig should I used? 1 ½ is too much. Thanks.Continue
