Ah yes, one step at a time, been there, done that. The desire to see the finished project in it's intended place pushes us on....

Technically - two (wife in way telling me what to do (HA!) - but in all reality - just me! I made the table in two parts, the top and the frame. I turned the frame on end and strapped it to a two wheel cart and pulled it upstairs, one step at at time. Then I turned the top on end and brought it up one step at a time. Needless to say, I had to rest in between trips.

How many people did it take to get this project from the shop to the dining area?

I know it sounds like a lot of screws but the top alone has 49 to hold it together. I don't have enough clamps to totally glue everything together and the Kreg screws are ideal for that plus making everything more sturdy. Also - I have a drawing of the table with all dimensions that I made using a program called Delta-Cad if you are interested.

I would bring a dish in the lovely bowl I make out of that weird piece of wood (I have posted)!
I love love love this table! I have in mind to make a dining room table at some point and this picture inspires me. Good job! It is beautiful!
And in response to kreg screws... I am amazed at how many I use and how much weight it adds to the project. So taking that into consideration we should have a very sturdy floor for this grand table we are discussing for all the members. lol

We should run a contest to see who needed the most pocket screws for their piece. Might be interesting to find out what the top number would be.

You can sit anywhere you want - but - you better get there early because there are only 4 seats! (Ha!)

James-Where are the other 3000+ members going to sit?
Dennis-What time is dinner?

What type of wood did you use on the top and edge banding?
