Hello

The plans come from ShopNotes magazine, Tools & Jigs special edition. It is mostly made from MDF and scraps I had around. It was one of my earlier projects, but it has served me well. The knobs screw into threaded inserts and do not protrude through the bottom of the sled. The fences can be flipped around to make 45° miter cuts which is real handy. The blade gets buried at the end of the cut, keeping your hands out of harms way. A good upgrade would be a "t" track with a measuring tape and stop block, but I just clamp one in place as needed. I'll post a couple of pics from the magazine so you know which one to look for if you are interested.

Looks like a really good sled, Onno!

I'm curious as to how the knobs are attached and keep from hitting the table when being used.

Very nice. Can you tell me more bit about it? Looks like mdf. Where did you get the plans?
