The top is made from 2x8 lumber and they come with a bevel on the edges.  I trimmed about 1/8" off from each side to get a straight edge to glue together, but didn't cut the bevel all of the way off (hope that makes sense).  No router, but on the end pieces, I used the sander to try and match the bevel on the side pieces.

Thanks, I was wondering why there were "cut" pieces that didn't match the materials. Now it makes sense. That won't be a problem.

I like that the table top pieces do not meet up flush, so there is a defined line between each. Did you "do" anything to make that happen (routing?).

Thanks for sharing.

Thanks George.  It is fairly easy to build.  I think the only tricky part for beginners is that I ripped the face frame boards down from 1x4's or 1x3's on the table saw.

Hi,

I am new to the community, this is my first official post. This is really beautiful, very nice job you did here. Would you say this was relatively easy? This might be my first project.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
