Your friends and family are very fortunate to have your frames.  They can relive the moment in the photo and think of you each time they look at it - great work!

hi mike yes main body is tiger maple notice the kind of striping to to surface and the purple is purple heart wood . purple heart is brown when you cut it then sunlight turns it purple. frames are easy 1-2 day projects with tons of variables .check out my other pics for color ideas.joinery options are kreg ,biscuit, dowel or nail/staple.i've made all my frames as gifts and friends/family eat them up.frames are very expensive to buy good ones and they withstand the test of time.

nice frame work...always wanted to try and make my own frames, is the wood maple ?
