thank you i actually paint the handles drain and hinges as well :)....and it goes through the side ... you'll need a 1/2" sill cock not a bib type , 1/2" x 1-1/2" pvc nipple, 1/2" threaded coupling , 1/2" male threaded x 1/2" female (not threaded) coupling keep the washer from the cooler and use some pipe thread...you'll figure it out :)

oh, one question; when you drill a hole in the unit to run your tap, are you drilling through the bottom or the side? it appears to be the side, but then how do you make sure all the water drains?

Tom no plans I've built about 20 of these and finally have it down and yes just a standard 52qt igloo brand cooler with the drain

Jig settings for 2 ¾ x 1 ½ boards with 30 degree miters?
