My youngest son asked me if he and I could make a bird house today about an hour later we were finished.

Things like this builds a lifetime memory of which he will fondly remember his dad and this bird house. I must commend you for doing this with your son and posting this to remid others that it is never to young to start a woodworking interest. Thanks for posting. I love seeing the joy in your son's face

Comment by Jason Eure on January 7, 2012 at 11:05am: Thanks Al, he is very happy with it. Since this photo we added plexiglass to the sides to hold the birdseed. Cody was concerned that birds could not get into the birdhouse so we drilled a hole in one side so birds could go inside.
