My youngest son asked me if he and I could make a bird house today about an hour later we were finished.

Jason, nice project and it really is a nice and happy times for a young son to get involved with not only natures wild life but also with woodworking.  Things like this builds a lifetime memory of which he will fondly remember his dad and this bird house.  I must commend you for doing this with your son and posting this to remid others that it is never to young to start a woodworking interest.  Thanks for posting.  I love seeing the joy in your son's face

Thanks Al, he is very happy with it. Since this photo we added plexiglass to the sides to hold the birdseed. Cody was concerned that birds could not get into the birdhouse so we drilled a hole in one side so birds could go inside.

Miter Saw Recommendation 1 Reply

I’m looking to upgrade my miter saw. I’m willing to invest a good amount of money to get one with the precision pocket hole joinery requires. Would anyone like to offer a recommended model?

New Kreg 720Pro

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
