Upper crown is 1 5/8" underneath, the top crown 4". I measured the level distance of the smaller crown and built out that distance for the upper crown if that makes sense.

what are the combinations of mouldings you stacked to get that effect on the top and the base?

I used Maple Plwood and Hard wood,as for the finishing I used Antique White Laquer I sprayed 1 coat of clear laquer and then I stained the grooves and Lines with a Satin Gold mixed with Black Dye and hand applied it.Then wiped the excess off with a rag before it dried.Having the first coat of clear on the white protects it from bleeding in.Then I applied 2 more coats os satin clear laquer over all of it ,sandint between coats.Thanks
