Cabinet w Speaker

This is a plan from Plans Now that I converted over to a Kreg Jig style construction. The openings on each end were supposed to be storage cabinets, but I put in speakers instead.

Comment by John Frankforther on April 6, 2010 at 2:31pm: Thank you Jenny ! Everything is made out of 3/4" maple plywood except for the face frame. That is solid maple. The black speaker cabinets were made of 3/4 MDF, sealed air tight and painted black. There is a frame that slides in in front of the speaker that holds the speaker cloth. Then the speaker slides in behind that. That way I can pull the heavy speakers out if I need to move the cabinet. The top is stained a red mahogany and turned out just the right color I was looking for!!
