This is beautiful.  If my children weren't teenagers, I would build one.

Jeff,

That looks awesome!  I would love to see the plans.  I've been thinking of building a crib and really like your design.

Thanks, everyone!! It was actually designed as a convertable, so I can add build some bed rails and it will grow with her. Hopefully one day it will be used by my grandchildren. For anyone interested I uploaded a picture of the plans in the same folder. It was built with a poplar frame and oak slats, then painted with a zero VOC paint. My kreg jig jr. worked like a charm to hold the frame together. I'll upload some construction pictures for anyone who is interested.

Very nice job Jeff. That is something that will last for many years and go through several kids. Like you, I built a bed for my step granddaughters little boy because of the same reasons. I made several changes to the plans but wound up with a very stable and safe bed. I have built 2 now and gave both away. Makes me feel good as I saw pictures of children who only had a laundry basket to sleep in. Again, very good job.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
