When I need to use my jig all I have to do is slide out the key and insert my jig….Wa-La! And I have a strong and stable surface to work on. I have plans to also incorporate a recessed measuring tape on both sides to aid in hole placement.

That is awesomely far out and out of sight! I truly like the ingenious way designed your workbench! I'm going to follow your lead. Thanks for the idea… I've never seen that type of Jig, I wonder if Kreg still makes that model… Later and blessings…

Yes I notched the sled to lower the jig to table height. If you look at picture 4 you will see a 60" piece of 3/4 plywood that is held firmly while I drill.

Fantastic idea ....Is the surface of the table the same height as the surface of the jig?

Hey Ryan, have a look at picture 2 and you will see the insert.

That's a great idea JD. I would even go as far as to make a matching table insert in case the jig needs to be removed for more table space. Matter of fact, I think I am going to inset my jig into my existing table and do just that.

Free Hand Guard (dust collection)

Hi.  I'm wondering if anyone has used the Woodpecker Free Hand Guard for dust collection on their bench top router table during pattern routing.  How effective is it?  It's adaptable to any router table.  Continue

New Kreg 720Pro

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
