Wedding Cake and Cupcake Stand

I built this wedding cake and cupcake stand for my wife (fiance at the time) so she could have something handmade at the reception. It turned out better than I thought.

Claude, I had to work at getting that finish.....7 applications of Polyurethane. I used Aspen, and I guess this wood is a really dry wood and just soaked the protective coat in the first five times. I didn't think I would ever get it to gloss like I wanted.
