This was my first vanity but it wasn’t much different from building furniture but you do have a back splash and a hole in top.
I got lucky and fone a 4’x3’x¾” plywood with black melamine on both side’s so I used it for the top and the back splash and trim it out in oak and the vanity itself is oak as well. I used pocket hole joinery to build the vanity and stain it in early american and to top it off with high glossy polyurethane and a 19” a american standard drop in sink .

Gorgeous vanity! Great design and very well executed. Like the sleek look of plywood with black melamine. Love those well installed drawers. I'm sure it will serve you well for a long time. Excellent job!
Thanks Scott but it wasnt as bad as I thought but it did take a week to build.
Very classy. Lot of parts! This one must have taken awhile!
Thanks Jay I’m glad that I don’t do this everyday like you. Like my grand father would say we are wood worker’s not cabinet builder’s now I see why ? Thanks for the cool comment .
Thanks Mrs. .Rita and the drawer slide’s do two things one it locks everything together to make it stronger and as a drawer slide .
Thanks Mick.
Nice job david ,another quality job.
Hey Mr Dean! Looks great. I am partial to the look of black with Oak. Very nice combo. I have had issues with drawer installation. May I ask, did you use wood runners in this or are the wood runners in place to hold drawer glides?
Hi David this is a fantistic bath vanity. You sure did not miss anything when it come to room for storage. You have room for all the needed items right at your fingertips. The oak is a wise choice for material and the black laminated top is a great combination. I like the design with the large single door in the middle and three drawers on each side. The door build full height really sits it off as it get rid of the false front in the middle of the cabinet. Looks very well build that do in a professional way.
You are right about it not being much different from building furniture. You build it giving full attention to detail and the only thing different that you do is you mount it to the wall and run pipe into it and sit a sink in the top.
Great job, thank you for sharing this excellent example of a bath vanity.

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.
I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.
First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
