Hi Sandra a angle finder would be a good investment for you .Does not really matter what stock length you use ,but always better to use a scrap piece of stock when you have a good fit with this you can transfer the length and angle to your work piece. Sandra I told you incorrectly on closer inspection it looks like a forty five degree cut on both ends sorry about that ,it's my old brain . The angle stays the same it's just the length of stock changes to where you want to place it .
Michael, thank you very much. Am a beginner at DIY and had a project that was on hold needing just this same item replaced on my chair. This will help me complete my project as I am terrible at figuring out angles. One other question I have...what length stock do I begin with to make these supports or does it matter and would the angle be the same for whatever length I used? Thank you so much for posting this very item online for others like myself. You are my saving grace on this project. Again thank you.
Would imagine angle on support brackets ,will be twenty two and a half degrees Sandra hope this helps .
What angle did you use to cut the two ends of the support bracket?

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.
I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.
First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
