This is a cabinet I designed for the bed of my truck. It's a little dirty in these photos but I had gotten some good use out of it before taking any pictures. I designed this primarily for transporting my retrievers and training equipment to and from the field (field trials, my other hobby). It could easily be modified for any aplication. I used Kreg joints for the drawer construction, and the cabinet case, but used a lap joint with screws to joint the two sheets of plywood making up the top deck. I think there's a few #20 biscuits in there somewhere too. I used an oil based porch paint with sand mixed in for the top deck surface. There's only one in the pictures but I can fit three wire kennels front to back with the gates opening towards the drivers side. The win-doors on the sides are ventelated. I decided not to use drawer slides because of the expense of slides that long and the space they would take up on the drawers. I put some runners on the drawer bottoms and waxed them. They seem to be working fine and the added friction keeps the drawers in place when driving.
