The Kreg Jig Blues!

I've got a case of the blues... literally... a case and it's a blue! ;)

I tired of going to the drawer where I stored my Kreg Jig, taking it out of the case it came in. Sorting through it to find the bit(s), the driver(s), the Allen wrench and other parts for the jig. So I decided to build a case and paint it as close to the Kreg blue color as I could locate at my local home improvement store.

Yea, I know the drawer is not blue! I just didn't have the heart to put paint on the walnut and bubinga handle so I left those two parts their natural colors.

The station features a sliding support arm that will extend to just under 16 inches to either side, a small drawer for storing other items like screws, plugs and the other small accessories. I was originally going to store the two Kreg clamps, bits and drivers in the drawer but decided that the clamps were taking up far to much space and the bits and drivers would end up "floating: around in the bottom of the drawer so I simply made some small mounts and made them far faster and more accessible and mounted them to the back of the station (case).

I know that this is an old post but two comments:

1.  The front board should have he pocket holes on the bottom

2.  The bits should face down in their holders -- a lot safer than having sharp objects sticking up.

Otherwise, a very nice project.

BTW, what paint/color did you use?
